• I LOVE THIS PLACE

  What can I say? This is the most fabulous proper tea shop EVER. It's like stepping back in time. The lady of the shop or her gentleman partner show you to your seat where you are invited to order. The tea is proper loose leaf and the coffee is freshly made to order. Drinks are all served in real china cups and saucers with varying designs and lumps of sugar are in china sugar bowls on all the tables. At the front of the tea shop you'll find a vast selection of home made cakes, and the slices are large enough to fill you up for a whole day. If you fancy something savoury I would suggest a bowl of their home made soups, served with huge fat slices of fresh real bread. Completely child unfriendly, and as much as I love my children and taking them out for meals etc, I thank the Sweet Lord every time I am there for the adult only atmosphere.
